Jocelyn’s Provisions has established a nationwide reputation for its fine cakes, bread, pastries and provisions. Baked fresh using the finest ingredients and traditional recipes, our hand-made products proudly retain that old world charm.
All our cakes are made from scratch recipes using the finest ingredients. We don’t use any colourings, preservatives, or flavorings, preferring to work with real butter and natural colorants.
Whether it is a birthday cake, special occasion cake, wedding cake, or cupcakes, we have a variety of options for every occasion. Our bakers arrive at the bakery at 3am to feed their sourdough then bake the shaped loaves that have been fermenting slowly overnight. Sourdough, baguettes, ciabatta and, depending on the day, seeded, olive & rosemary, and fig, fennel & aniseed loaves are then delivered to our James Street store, still warm.
Using only organic flour from Woods Organic, a Northern NSW farm that grows and mills their own grain, our bread undergoes a long fermentation process and high hydration to develop a tender crumb and complex flavor. Our bakers use time-honored as well as modern techniques to consistently produce high-quality bread. They also never take shortcuts, which is why we offer some of the finest examples of each variety.
